The services provided by the Center for STEM Education focus on the themes of fostering the next generation of STEM education researchers, facilitating and supporting others efforts to improve STEM education, and bringing together various STEM stakeholders.
Fostering the next generation of STEM education researchers
Our goal is to support the development of the research expertise of graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and early career faculty interested in STEM Education research. We therefore invite people to share their ideas and expertise through our speaker series along with opening doors to outside opportunities for development of UT personnel.
Facilitating and supporting state and national efforts to improve STEM Education for all students
Our goal is to promote and support the work of others in STEM Education. We therefore aid in the development of grant proposals, provide evaluation services for projects, and provide support for people who need to store and analyze data.
Bringing together various stakeholders in the improvement of STEM Education for all students
Our goal is to promote dialogue and partnerships between various stakeholders who are interested in improving STEM Education. These stakeholders include teachers, community members, district administrators, university researchers, philanthropists, and business and civic leaders. Our focus is on efforts to help close achievement gaps while increasing the STEM proficiency of all students.
