Help UT STEM Center support undergrad research

Students on the South Mall of UT

Provide a powerful teaching experience for burgeoning educators. The UT STEM Center is sponsoring a pilot Undergraduate Research Experience for students at The University of Texas at Austin. This program will offer undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in a variety of ongoing research projects related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education with faculty and graduate students from the College of Education. Participating students will gain real experience with the rigor of academic research, insight into the latest issues in STEM education, and personal knowledge of graduate-level study. This program will help them decide their future, act as mentors to their peers, and guide their own future students.

For our pilot program, we are asking you to participate in the 40 Hours for the Forty Acres annual university-wide fundraising event, starting March 30th at 6 AM. We encourage everyone in the UT Austin community to give to the UT people, places, and programs that are meaningful to them. For 40 hours, students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends come together as a community and show their support for the amazing programs and organizations on campus.

All the money we raise will go directly to funding the undergraduate students who will receive stipends for their work on the research projects. For every $1,000 we raise, we can provide another student with a meaningful research experience.
